Ok so, I wanted the MRI CD/results… because it’s my brain. So, I filled out the little form and asked for it to be sent to me. The said if would be 13 dollars unless it was sent to a doctor then it’s free. WTF??!? I have to pay 13 bucks for MY OWN MRI but it’s free for a doctor? Are you serious?

GEEZ!

Oh, and don’t even get me started on the drama involved in my earring. Yes, I have had probably 6 MRIs with this earring and it’s still a big deal. NEVER has it been a problem even in the 3.0 Telsa. The lady thought my ear was going to fly off. Cool image but no… it’s still attached.

So two years ago this was me:

And here I am again…. suffering worse pain than BEFORE. The doctor thought it was scar tissue so he has been doing injections hoping that the inflammation goes down. After two, we both kind of gave up and we went for a MRI. He was hoping to find out where the scar tissue was so that he could figure out how to fix it. I don’t think either of us thought we would see this:

I guess its scar tissue mixed in with little tears in the tendon itself. Not what either of us were expecting… so NOW… he wants to do some crazy sh*t. He wants to take a tendon and muscle for my big toe and MOVE it over to my Achilles Tendon. What the heck??!

Anyway, I go for a second opinion in a couple weeks but damn, I am so tired of pain.

Spinal MRI reports are harder to read

I received my spinal MRI report and it is a lot harder to read than the brain MRI. It looks like two doctors looked at the report but didn’t quite agree on the results. One report says there are three lesions and the other says four. I don’t think it matters too much because one is too many but I was hoping for just two lesions. That means I have at least 7 of these stupid little things in my body. That seriously pisses me off. Argh.

The lovely doctors were nice enough to let me know that my neck is degrading or something too. It’s like a twoffer. Lesions and screwed up neck!

Anyway, the kids have been a lot of fun. They of course have tons of energy but fun none the less. Tonight I made their daddy buy them new shoes at Nordstrom’s. That was quite the experience. Tomorrow we are going to get doughnuts at Top Pot, head to the Museum of Flight and then THE GREAT WOLF LODGE! It’s going to be tons of fun! I will just ignore those silly lesions.

I got interviewed today by a writer doing an article for the NMSS. She is going to email me my quotes which I am sure sound really intelligent with lots of uhms and stuffs.

MRI at lunch time == NAP TIME!!!

I had my spinal MRI at 1pm yesterday which was a prefect time for a 1.5 hour long nap. MRI’s are weird things. It’s like being a baby during a long drive in a car seat. It vibrates like a car. You can’t move around like a car seat. And for a bonus, you get warm. It’s all the ingredients required for a lovely lunch time nap except for two things:

The nice MRI tech that keeps asking you if you are ok.
The injection half way through.

The nice MRI tech didn’t feel comfortable hitting my vein so she brought in two additional people to give me the injection. Each took an arm and started poking around. The gave up and used the one I have left. I threatened to be a very unhappy customer if they collapsed it. Lucky (and for their sake!), they went very slow and it’s still intact.

In other news, I finished my first full week of Copaxone and started rotating back through my sites. The worst site reaction last week was in my left leg. Today I did the left leg and again, bad! I wonder if my left leg hates Copaxone. The left leg should chat with the right and get some rotating site reaction schedule. This week, it’s the right legs turn. Next week, it’s the left legs turn…

It is going to be a very busy week. I am meeting Tom’s kids for the first time tomorrow! They are 5 and 7 yr old boys. We have some things planned including a night at the Great Wolf Lodge! I am going to fly to Montreal and meet Tom’s Ex-wife on Saturday and then we are going to go down to Boston for a couple days. I am way excited (well, at least about Boston! )

Anyway, it’s finally getting warm in Seattle. I should get a pretty good idea of how I will do in Europe after this week where temperatures are in the 80/90s.
