About

I am a recently diagnosed girl living in Seattle. I work in the high tech field and do enjoy my career. I am starting my journal with a positive outlook and lots of humor.

It is possible you might be offended so there is your warning. I will try to be as sensitive as possible.

Love your honesty and want to be part of your support network. I don’t know what will be helpful so in your own way let me know.

Don’t think I can compete with your mom on socks how about mittens or wrist warmers or perhaps a lesson. Hope you are enjoying a visit with Grant and Sharon and yes, starbucks any time. Us retired folks have a very flexible schedule.

    Dear Nina,

As both a physician and husband of wife with breast cancer, I have asked myself more than once, ” Why do bad things happen to good people ? ” . I certainly don’t have the answer to this question — I doubt if anyone does.

Nina, you begin a difficult journey but you do not travel it alone — your family and friends will be there for you and you will have the inner strength to see this through.

For us, our Faith has sustained us though our long and painful ordeal. For you, I hope this , or other spiritual , meditative practices and beliefs will sustain and nourish your inner psyche with those positive energies needed for both your physical and emotional healing.

You will be in our good thoughts and daily prayers,

    Lisa and Frank

Why? Why on earth would you try? It’s a blog, a diary, a stream of consciousness. You, like me, have MS, wouldn’t it be better to spend more time dealing with that than trying to smooth ruffled feathers and fragile egos? After all, we have enough to deal with without other peoples’ sensitivities. Sod what anyone else thinks, get what’s on your mind off your chest and be done with it.

I don’t normally hold back, it’s not my style. I was going through old crap from high school and found a certificate that said “for saying it like it is”.

    It’s good to know I haven’t change too much…

    Hi Nina,

Don’t worry about offending me, I’m totally offensive myself. I’m Feisty, LivingFree, Jen, and I just realized you have this blog. I’m excited to read it, and support you as well. I’m a MS vet, 10 years and counting, so if you have questions, let me know.

    xoxo Jen

Hey Nina! I stumbled upon your blog today. Thanks for making me laugh for a while. I was just diagnosed with MS and have been looking for others like me to read how they are doing. I’m glad I found your posts!
