Bouncing Balloons!

August 12th, 2008 · No Comments

Today I went to the Hayward Gallery just outside Waterloo station in London. It is a nutty building with lots of odd things on the outside. It’s a “modern” sculpture gallery I guess. There is an exhibit in two rooms where they knocked holes in the plaster wall. That is what we call “art” I guess. Anyway, on the outside was this weird ball thing and at this time I had no idea that people were like INSIDE the ball.. but they were. So, I could hear Tom from Seattle (sound asleep) saying that I should go up there… so I went. You see those people? I did that. The picture was taken from within the ball under the balloon thingy. Anyway, I might not walk perfectly but I can lay on air with the help of a balloon.

Yesterday I walked about 5 miles and today also. I am doing ok but my foot did hurt a bit more today. I forgot to tape it this morning so I hope that is the reason. I taped it tonight so I don’t have a chance to forget. It will be interesting to see how I do in Rome since it’s over 85 degrees. Tomorrow I am going back to London and will visit Tate Modern. On Thursday my parents will join me for the London Eye and then Billy Elliott the Musical. Friday… off to Rome.
