It’s pouring!

If I knew it was going to rain in London, I would have stayed home!  At least it’s sunny in Seattle… :)   Anyway, I made it here and it was all uneventful.  I was very nervous about the plane ride because I had to give myself a shot.  I saw next to a nice couple that has been married for 52 years.  They were very chatty had didn’t have any problems with me giving myself a shot.  I also didn’t have any problems bringing 30 needles through security.  They do look at the bag a little longer but never say anything.  I think deep down they don’t want to risk getting stuck with a needle. :)

My parents like riding the buses and they are mostly double decker buses.  The stairs are steep!  Anyway, we were sitting in the disabled seats yesterday and we were both wondering if we should move.  I don’t feel disabled but I know that I am not completely able bodied either.  There were three women with canes that got on the bus.  One just walked on by.  The other one who was around 80 years old just stood with no complaints.  The final lady with a cane was very overweight and around 30 years old.  She asked an older man to move so she could sit in the disabled seats.  I am overweight and for many years was morbidly obese so I know what it’s like but I hope she was disabled for more reasons than just being overweight.  I know, I shouldn’t judge but oh well.

Yesterday we walked 10,000 steps which was almost four miles.  Today we walked 9,000 steps which was just over three miles.  I always forget the pedometer when I am walking long distances!  Anyway, jet lag is no fun.  I walk up at 4am this morning.  I am going for 6am tomorrow.
