I dig my Neurologist!

July 21st, 2008 · 1 Comment

I had my follow up appointment with the Neurologist today. He went over the the labs which were normal. He also went over the MRI and just said there were 3-4 lesions on the spine. We went over meds and all that stuff. Pretty boring appointment which is the best kind to have. He said I don’t have to go back until the end of the year unless I have problems. I am hoping for the end of the year.

Anyway, I totally dig him. He is a cool kid so if you need a Neurologist in Seattle… Dr. Gary Stobbe rocks. He is going to University of Washington MS Clinic in August but until then he’s at James and Minor.

I did ask him about Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and his respose wasn’t completely against it. He said he might help symptoms between relaspes but we won’t know if it helps relapses until there is a double blind study. He also said he has prescribed it and has patients on it. I felt pretty comfortable asking for a prescription for it but don’t feel it is needed for me. I was just interested in his thoughts and to feel him out. It’s good to have a doc that is willing to try things that might not be approved for that treatment.

I’m glad you had a positive experience. I like my neurologist too.
