Day 2 and 3 of Copaxone

I think the auto-injector will be easier to use mentally. I don’t have to look at the needle going in or anything. I don’t really like the pop sound it makes but it works ok.

On day 2 and 3 I injected into the upper leg which has been more painful than the stomach. I get little white bumps then it turns into a huge 4″ hard bump for about an hour. It does go away and it’s fine in the morning. It’s not fun but Tom says he likes them because it will help the MS. Awww…. well he likes watching me in pain too. Thats love for you…

I emailed my house representative who is Jim McDermott a couple weeks ago about better support for Multiple Sclerosis research and generic drugs. He responded (ok I am sure it was his staff but anyway…) and he said he has just joined the Congressional Multiple Sclerosis Caucus. Jim McDermott is a doctor so he has some focus on medical issues that other representative might not. I love him! In fact, everyone loves him. He won his last general election with 79% of the vote.

In addition to Jim McDermott, Washington States Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray are also part of the Congressional Multiple Sclerosis Caucus. So, if your congress person is not part of the caucus, email them! It looks like MS Activist has a complete list on his blog. Oh, and if you aren’t sure who you want to vote for… remember Michelle Obama’s father had Multiple Sclerosis.
